The Wiener Staatsoper operates one of the most extensive repertory systems in the world, presenting a constantly rotating programme of opera and ballet throughout the season. The 2026–27 season combines major new productions with a wide selection of canonical works, maintaining a balance between innovation and tradition across more than four centuries of repertoire.
